MSA Snow Show & YZRP Hastings 500 Grass Drags 2007
Get ready for another great year of snowmobile grass drags at Michigans Premier Snowmobile Drag Racing Event!! The event this year is scheduled for October 12th, 13th, and 14th. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!
Be prepared for a great weekend of racing!! As always there will be plenty of great sponsors at the event and a wide variety great vendors.

MSA Snow Show & YZRP Hastings 500 Grass Drags 2006
Eight inches of snow was waiting for all of our eager vendors to move in on Friday morning. Normally all of the volunteers with MSA would have been jumping for joy…. but pushing a golf cart through the grass because it was stuck took a lot of the beauty out of a cover of white.
A cold start for the opening night of the show took its toll; Friday evening saw rain, sleet and 40 degree temperatures and 828 brave buyers through the gates, a decline from past Friday nights.
Saturday morning weather was much better, the gates opened at 10 am to a steady flow of buyers. The sun came out with temperatures hanging around the low 50's and buyers were loading up on clothing and accessories. A steady crowd came close to a record Saturday attendance of 8145. Our safety class had right around 80 kids; and our swap meet was close to full with over 350 swap spots filled. Yankee Zephyr Racing Promotions (YZRP) contracted with COSDRA to sanction the grass drag races and had 228 entries. The track was hard and fast all day. The Midwest Lawn Mower Racing association also put on a great race which was new to the crowd and kept many of them entertained all afternoon. Thirty mowers showed up to race at this first time event, and they were pleased with the crowd, and put on a good show for all.
Sunday was by far the nicest weather day and the gates opened up to a small crowd. A steady but small crowd still had the vendors selling product right up until the close of the show. Attendance was 1621. YZRP had 183 entries and two speed records set during the final runs of the day. $10,000.00 in prize money was paid out to racers over the two days of racing. The ISR World Series of Grass was also run with points accumulated over the two days of racing. Gold, Silver and Bronze ISR medals were awarded to the ISR World Series of Grass winners.
MSA and YZRP would like to thank all of the vendors, racers and spectators for making this one of the premier shows of the mid-west. We would also like to thank all the volunteers who helped make this event a huge success!! ----------------------------------------
